This Privacy Policy explains how MealScan (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you visit this website and purchase the MealScan Mini. We keep it short and plain.

Information we collect

• Order information — your name, email, shipping address and the items you buy.
• Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• Usage & device data — pages viewed and basic device/browser data, collected via cookies and similar technologies.

Advertising & analytics

We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel (in your browser) and the Meta Conversions API (from our server) to measure the performance of our ads and to show relevant ads on Meta platforms. Browser events and server events are matched using a shared event identifier so an action is counted once. This may involve sharing event data (such as a page view or purchase) and hashed identifiers — for example a SHA-256 hash of your email, plus Meta browser/click cookie values (_fbp, _fbc), IP address and user-agent — with Meta acting as an independent/joint controller for advertising measurement. You can manage ad personalisation in your Meta account settings, and control or clear cookies through your browser.

Cookies & your choices

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies for the shopping cart, checkout and the advertising measurement described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; essential checkout functionality may be affected. If you are in the EEA/UK, we will only set non-essential (advertising) cookies where permitted — manage your preferences via your browser and your Meta settings.

Data retention

We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed to fulfil your order, provide support and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Advertising event data is retained according to Meta’s data policies. When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the store — including Stripe (payments), our shipping partners, and Meta (advertising measurement) — and where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
